Battle between Vitamin C and the Cold Virus
Blogged by.. Knight-errant @ 10:43 PM
Can't imagine that I am sick! Seriously, I don't like the feeling of being unwell. It is just so unenergentic and lifeless. It was the very first time that rained cats and dogs before and during my gym session yesterday. Perhaps, this is the reason as to why I caught a cold. Moreover, the exposure of being under the sun (on my way to work) and the air-conditioned work environment have contributed to my sickness too! It seems like a hard battle between my daily consumption of Vitamin C and the cold virus! Nevertheless, credits to Dequalinium (anti-bacterial lozenges) and paracetamol (for fever). Having rested for the past 11 hours, I feel and hope that I will be better.
Hmm, just some events to note at work yesterday. I was at the usual point of sales system to do cashiering. Just like any normal customers, a lady (in early thirties) came forward with a kid. Although there were alot of other customers queuing behind her, she was happily on the phone (ignorant that her purchases are being processed). Thanks goodness that she put down the phone after my "humble" signal to her. While her credit card payment was being processed, i took the selected merchandise from the next customer in the queue. And you know what? One of the items slipped and hit the forehead of the former's kid. What should I do? I checked out on the kid's forehead, immediately (luckily that there was no cut/injuries) and I apologised to the lady. What then is the moral of the incident? Personally, I feel that kids should be left outside the store/near to cashier point while their doting parents make payment, right?
One of a relief promoters praised me for being a diligent and hardworking staff. I humbly replied her with a smile. At times, we do receive compliments. But is important that one should not be complacent, instead he/she should work even harder. This is just my 'philosophy", perhaps!
Thats all for today! Gonna prepare to return back to campus for upcoming freshmen orientation discussion. Keep the brain cells running . . . hohohoLabels: Getting well . . .
